Lady Gaga Will Give Fans a New Song For Christmas

Lady Gaga told her fans (aka Little Monsters) that she was going to give them an unreleased song for Christmas.

The song, says the singer, was recorded live, "in one take, on the tour bus. Uncensored." she tweeted.

The secret song was intended for the "Born This Way" album.

Lady Gaga, according to Forbes magazine, was the top earning female in music of 2011, racking in
$90 million.

Forbes said that total was boosted by "strong album sales, endorsements and an extremely lucrative world tour."

Gaga made more than the combined earnings of No. 2 on the list -- Taylor Swift ($45 million) and No. 3 Katy Perry ($44 million).

So the millionaire is giving back ... "Been racking my brain on what to get Little Monsters for Christmas!! I finally figured it out!!" she tweeted.

Whatever it is, her fans will go gaga over it.

Lady Gaga - Lady Gaga Buys Driver Nappies

Lady Gaga has treated her UK chauffeur to a year's supply of nappies after finding out he is set to become a father for the first time.
Lady Gaga has treated her chauffeur to a year's supply of nappies.
The 'Marry the Night' hitmaker was so delighted to hear her UK driverwas about to become a dad for the first time that she splashed out on the practical gift for him.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Gaga is very generous with her presents and makes a huge effort for those who look after her. As soon as she found out her UKdriver was going to be a dad, she was on the phone, trying to sort out a gift. It had to be something quirky, too - it's part of her nature.
"Gaga has used the same driver for years since she first started performing in the UK. The poor guy has to drive her through hordes of screaming fans after gigs. Considering how often she stands up through the sunroof to salute her Little Monsters, he must know every inch of her midriff."
Gaga will be swapping Christmas presents with her 'Vampire Diaries' boyfriend Taylor Kinney, when he flies from Pennsylvania to New York on Boxing Day (26.12.11) to spend time with the singer and her parents.
The couple have been dating since meeting on the set of her 'You and I' video earlier this year.

Lady Gaga Bares All for Charity

How does an average girl from New York transform herself into a cultural icon that endures for decades, and even, centuries? It was simple for Lisa del Giocondo (better known as Mona Lisa). Just pose for the right artist.
Perhaps this is what Lady Gaga had in mind when she disrobed for crooning legend turned artist, Tony Bennett. The product of that encounter, a seductive sketch, now up for auction on eBay Celebrity , depicts a fully nude Gaga, partially concealed behind strategically placed shadows and arms.
The drawing is not as popular as you might think, attracting only $6,766 in bids as of mid afternoon Tuesday, not yet meeting the seller's reserve.
Gaga's foray into the world of serious art, is but the latest in a succession of - seemingly calculated - events aligning her with pop culture royalty. Consider some of her recent antics.
Happy Birthday Mr. President. Gaga has donned Monroe's tradmark, short blond curls, blood red lipstick and 60s inspired, oh so formal, fitted dresses many times. But she left no doubt as to her intent at October's Decade of Difference concert when she invoked Marilyn's sexy Happy Birthday wish to President Kennedy, with her own breathy rendition. President Clinton was celebrating his 65th birthday.
"I'm having my first Marilyn moment," she demurred, "I always wanted to have one."
I'm Dreaming of a Gaga Christmas. The fastest way to insert yourself into the collective psyche of this country is to become a part of our holiday traditions. Gaga's unique take on the Irving Berlin classic "White Christmas," at Z100's Jingle Ball in New York was certainly memorable. Bing Crosby may have rolled over in his grave, but those who know what to expect from Gaga were not disappointed.
Fight for a Cause. Proceeds from the sale of the Gaga/Bennett sketch will benefit Gaga's Born this Way foundation, and Bennett's pet charity, Exploring the Arts. If you really want to make your mark on society, you have to take a major stand on issues of the day.
Bob Geldof had world hunger. Lady Gaga has taken up the banner against bullying. Earlier this month, she visited the White House to discuss the issue with members of the Office of Public Engagement. No word on what she may have suggested they do about the problem, which effects an estimated 13 million students, but her celebrity certainly helped to draw attention to the issue.

Lady Gaga saluted by the Trevor Project with stars and songs

If Lady Gaga knows anything, it's theatricality -- so it's more than fitting that the Trevor Project'sannual holiday gala, Trevor Live, Sunday night was a wintry song and dance in celebration of the pop star's efforts to stop bullying.
The Hollywood Palladium housed the shindig, under the creative direction of "Rock of Ages" helmer Adam Shankman, and featured a huge roster of celebrity performers and "Parks and Recreations" star Amy Poehler as emcee.
Leading up to Gaga's big moment was "Glee" star Darren Criss pulling out a show-stopping rendition of Tom Jones' "It's Not Unusual." Leann Rimes later performed a ballad from her own catalog, Queen Latifah offered up "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas," and engaged duo Neil Patrick Harris and chef David Burtka sang "You're The Top."
Plenty of exciting faces pleased the Ministry, including our table buddy Dianna Agron in vintage Chloe, as well as Amber Heard, Zachary Quinto, Michelle Pfieffer and Zac Efron.
The Trevor Project provides telephone hotline and online support for LGBT and questioning youth in their struggles with bullying, family acceptance and more -- and on Sunday bold names helped tell the stories of several youths whose lives were affected by the Trevor team.
Pehaps the evening's most poignant tale was that of 14-year-old Jamey Rodemeyer, who took his own life in September. Jamey's sister and parents were on hand to present to Gaga, assisted by "Glee"'s Chris Colfer. Gaga did not shy from the very recent tragedy -- expressing her disbelief thatJamey's school has yet to address the bullying he cited as cause for suicide.
"As much as we can, come together, as it will take a village and an army -- countries and continents, too -- to make bullying a hate crime," Gaga said to a standing ovation.
Other highlights included the first "Magic Mike" pairing on record -- Joe Manganiello and Matt Bomertook to the stage and joked about their past few months playing strippers for Steven Soderbergh.
And let us not forget about pot jokester Miley Cyrus, who belted her song "The Climb" with perfect pitch, subtlety and without any additional comment. Well played.

Lady GaGa Rings in KIIS FM's Jingle Ball

Lady Gaga spread holiday spirit on Saturday night, December 3 when headlining KIIS FM's Jingle Ball. "I miss being on tour so much," the Mother Monster greeted her screaming fans gathering inside Nokia Theater in Los Angeles, California. "I miss my little monsters."

The "Born This Way" hitmaker went all out that night. She underwent various flashy costume changes, belted out her powerful voice, delivered high-energy routine, pranced around the elaborate stage-set, and equipped herself with a festive-themed guitar in a form of Christmas tree.

"Are there a lot of little monsters here tonight?" the New Yorker addressed the crowd. "If you're not, raise your hand so you could get attacked by a little monster nearby." She later commanded the concertgoers to raise their paws up when she charged into "Bad Romance".

At one point, GaGa acknowledged the parents who came with their family, "(It may be a) little uncomfortable 'cause you want to let loose, 'cause your favorite artists are here tonight." In honor of the parental presence, she delivered "You and I" which she called a family tune.

Furthermore embracing the holiday, GaGa covered "White Christmas". She stated, "I always sound funny singing Christmas, so I'm changing it to Kissmas." She added, "Always remember I was the one who told you the truth about Christmas. To everyone who's listening, Santa Claus is real."

When singing "Born This Way", GaGa additionally said, "Christmas is all about Jesus Christ, you know," before pausing to spell the capital H-I-M. She continued making religious references in "Judas" by noting that "if there weren't a Judas, there wouldn't be a Jesus Christ."

The other stars performing at the event included Big Time Rush, Gym Class Heroes, David Guetta, Taio Cruz and Karmin. Also in attendance were Willow Smith, Sean Paul, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Stephanie Pratt,Alexa Vega, Ryan Seacrest and Carrie Ann Inaba.

Lady Gaga's Workshop: Marketing Brilliance or Merchandising Overkill?

Lady Gaga's Workshop at Barneys New York opened at the stroke of midnight after a day of festivities including a Gaga-led ribbon cutting featuring the star wearing a custom Chanel gown designed by Karl Lagerfeld. Within the full-skirted masterpiece the Mother Monster looked every bit the Christmas angel, but the inside of Gaga's Workshop has a decidedly different tone. It looks like a cross between a version of candy land gone heavy metal and a really trippy Tim Burton film shot when the director was not quite himself.
Barneys has put forth a great deal of effort and expense to ensure that Gaga's Workshop rocks the socks off of any shopper who happens to journey into the pop superstar's land of Christmas make-believe, but the experience may die at this point for many shoppers. Considering the price tags many of the items carry, they will be cost prohibitive for all but the most devout and somewhat affluent fans of Lady Gaga. Unless a teenager wants to shell out $15.00 for a Lady Gaga face cookie featuring her telephone hat or the same price for a tin of organic tea, there isn't much for many of the "Born This Way" star's "Little Monsters" to grab without begging for financial assistance from Mom and Dad.
It is possible that these items are being offered as a nod to the lower-income purse strings many shoppers are struggling with during the recession, and that the store is banking on a real return with a different age group. Older customers who happen to venture into Gaga's Workshop may find themselves taken with some of the exclusive jewelry carried in one of the venue's eight shopping stations. The necklaces in this store within a store range in price from $1,305 to $1,530. If Barneys' could sell several hundred of these pieces, they may just break even on this display.
Of course, that is presuming the point is to break even. Given the extremely kitschy nature of many of the products sold in Gaga's Workshop until the higher-end price point is reached, and considering that those who can afford the high-end prices would likely be attracted to a different type of product, one has to consider the possibility that Barneys' doesn't care too much about Gaga's Workshop itself bringing in the money. Instead, it is likely that Barneys' sees the workshop as a way to bring in foot traffic from curiosity-seekers who may choose to plunk down serious change in the other areas of the store.
However, retailers such as Barneys New York shouldn't require that much help. According to theNew York Times, luxury good sales are one of the few areas of the American economy still zooming along, and Barneys caters to high rollers of Manhattan both online and in-store. Until sales figures and traffic numbers from Gaga's Workshop hit the streets that illustrate an alternate scenario, this is one collaboration that sounds hot in theory but doesn't make much sense on paper.
