Lady Gaga 2012: 'Marry The Night' Singer To Ignore Media, Top 5 Most Memorable Quotes

Lady Gaga, the pop sensation known for her attention-grabbing fashion and performances, told Oprah Winfrey that she plans to cut all connection with the media.

When talking to the iconic show host for her special airing Sunday, "Oprah's Next Chapter," the "Born This Way" singer said she is taking a break from interviews, according to The Chicago Tribune.
"Other than this interview, Oprah, I do not intend to speak to anyone for a very long time," she said. "No press, no television, if my mom calls and says, 'Did you hear about that' I shut it all off."
This is a change of pace for the eccentric singer, as the 25-year-old has been known for media stunts. Her distinguished meat dress has become a staple of the pop star's image, and her 2009 performance of 'Paparazzi' at MTV's VMA ceremony was one of her first eye-catching endeavors.
With the starlet preparing for her media vow of silence, here's a recap of some of Lady Gaga's most memorable quotes.
1. "Some women choose to follow men, and some women choose to follow their dreams. If you're wondering which way to go, remember that your career will never wake up and tell you that it doesn't love you anymore."- Cosmopolitan Magazine, 2010
2. "Pop stars should not eat." - New York Magazine, 2010
3. "I had a boyfriend who told me I'd never succeed, never be nominated for a Grammy, never have a hit song, and that he hoped I'd fail. I said to him, 'Someday, when we're not together, you won't be able to order a cup of coffee at the f--king deli without hearing or seeing me." -Cosmopolitan Magazine, 2010.
4. "I'm terrified of therapy because I don't want it to mess with my creativity." -Rolling Stone, 2010
5. "I have the right to choose whether or not I want to be a celebrity, and I don't want to be one...I'd much rather people write about what I wear and what I'm singing and what I do in my videos than about who I'm f--king. I mean, that, for me, is the kiss of death." -Rolling Stone, 2010.

Lady Gaga Nominated For Grammy Nominees 2012

Lady Gaga earns three nominations, including Album of the Year for "Born This Way"

One of the biggest pop stars in the world, Lady Gaga, sings about her "Nebraska guy" in one of her biggest songs. But another Nebraska guy is also getting credit for the song.

On the radio and on iPods everywhere, Lady Gaga's song "You and I" still gets a lot of play. Her voice track for the song was recorded in Omaha, and the guy who runs the studio has been nominated, along with the music superstar, for a Grammy.

Tom Ware, of Ware House Productions, runs one of the most acoustically perfect studios in the world. Back in March, when Lady Gaga was in town for show at the CenturyLink Center, she recorded the vocal track for the song.

"It was one of those moments. It was all about capturing the performance, capturing the magic," Ware said.

Ware said after spending two hours mixing the track, he sent it off to producer Robert John "Mutt" Lange is Switzerland.

The song became an instant No. 1 hit, and it's found on Lady Gaga's Born This Way album.

Ware learned that the album has been nominated for a Grammy last week. And after 30 years of recording and creating music, Ware said this is one of his proudest moments. But he doesn't plan to make any career changes if it wins.

Ware said Lady Gaga was so down to earth, and she even took his feedback and opinions into consideration during the recording.

The Grammy Awards Ceremony is Feb. 12.

Lady Gaga, Madonna, Nicki Minaj Top 2012′s Most Anticipated Albums

The past 12 months have seen the release of monster albums from Adele, Lady Gaga, Drake, Taylor Swift, Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj.
But the next 12 are promising to bring even more music from several of those artists, plus new albums from Mumford & Sons, Rick Ross, Jay-Z, Linkin Park, Paramore, Madonna, Miley Cyrus, Maroon 5 and Green Day.

It’s a bumper crop of major albums from some of rock, pop and hip-hop’s biggest stars, who are returning from long breaks, hoping to follow up smash debuts or just trying to keep their momentum going.
While release dates are always subject to change, here are some of the most anticipated releases of 2012.

Pop:

Ironically, the status of new albums from the artists whose next moves everyone is most curious about are the ones most in the air. Rihanna tends to deliver a new album every 12 or 13 months, which means that she may have another disc in stores at the end of next year once the just-releasedTalk That Talk has run its course.

On the other hand, Lady Gaga has already begun talking about her follow-up to this year’s Born This Way. Gaga recently told MTV News that she’s already started writing songs and “all the concepts are beginning to flourish and take place.” She didn’t give a potential release date, only promising, “I’ll put it out when it’s done.”

Katy Perry hasn’t publicly spoken about what will come after 2010′s smash Teenage Dream, but it’s possible she could start work on new material in 2012 as well. We know for sure that Justin Bieber is planning to show his more mature side next time around, possibly even incorporating some EDM sounds into the mix.

It’s been confirmed that Madonna hooked up with M.I.A. and Nicki Minaj for the single “Gimme All Your Luvin’ ” from her untitled forthcoming album, which will feature production from Ray of Lightproducer William Orbit.
Other artists who could release fresh material in 2012: No DoubtMaroon 5Avril LavigneMiley CyrusChristina AguileraKe$ha and Nicole Scherzinger.

Hip-Hop:

Two titans of rap are cueing up fresh tracks for early 2012, with Nicki Minaj likely to get out of the gate first with her sophomore album, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, due out on Valentine’s Day. The disc will include first single “Roman in Moscow,” which sees the Best New Artist Grammy nominee getting into the character of her alter ego, Roman Zolanski.

After the delay of God Forgives, I Don’t due to a pair of seizures he suffered in October, Rick Ross is expected to come back strong as well. The Bawse has taken his convalescent time to work on a new track with Jay-Z.

Speaking of Jigga, fans may get a new record from him as well, considering he told MTV News he was cooking up fresh tracks way back when he first played us songs from his Kanye West collaborative album, Watch the Throne. In fact, Jay-Z said you might get solo albums from both men as well as the second Throne release.

Other artists that should have albums hitting stores in 2012: NasFrank OceanSlaughterhouse,Wiz Khalifathe G.O.O.D. Music compilationT.I.Big Sean50 CentLudacrisBig K.R.I.T.,Meek Mill and potentially two discs from Lil WayneI Am Not a Human Being II and Rebirth II.

Rock:

Some of rock’s biggest guns are reloading for 2012, among them Green Day, who debuted some new tracks at a benefit show in August. The title of the follow-up to 2009′s 21st Century Breakdownhasn’t been announced yet, but some of the early songs slated for possible inclusion are “Nuclear Family,” “Carpe Diem” and “Sweet 16.”

U2 have reportedly been cooking up a number of potential new albums, logging sessions with Danger Mouse and working with French producer/DJ David Guetta, RedOne and will.i.am on a disc of dance-oriented tunes.

Prog rock revivalists Muse should also have some new material for us, with bassist Chris Wolstenholme promising in a recent interview that the sound on their sixth album will be “radically different” from 2009′s The Resistance.
We may get something from Linkin Park, who are prepping the follow-up to 2010′s A Thousand Suns, and Mumford & Sons. It’s been two years since the British folk rock revivalists dropped their still strong-selling debut, Sigh No More, and they began giving fans a taste of some new material in the fall when they unveiled the majestic song “Ghosts.”

After a rough year, Paramore have finally put the drama behind them and they’re super-psyched to record an album free of tension and inter-band awkwardness. So far, they’ve already unwrapped the bouncy “Renegade” and “Hello Cold World,” which bode well for their fourth full-length studio album.
Other rock acts slated to release new albums: the reunited SoundgardenFoster the PeopleNeon TreesSleigh BellsSilversun PickupsBruce Springsteen and All-American Rejects.

LADY GAGA SPORTS MENSWEAR, BARES CHEST IN L’UOMO VOGUE

Lady Gaga revists her metallic, Terminator-like look from the ‘You & I‘ video (where she met rumored squeeze Taylor Kinney) on the cover of the January 2012 issue of L’Uomo Vogue.
It’s the Italian version of the fashion bible and since Gaga is a proud Italian,  no doubt this cover is extra special for her and ranks at the top of her favorite covers she’s appeared on. We know, there are many.
Ms. Germanotta is gracing the “Big Ones” issue and who’s bigger than the Mother Monster? The shots are black and white and feature Gaga wrapped in metallic wiring on her arm. It’s one of her most fashion-forward spreads.
In addition, there are metallic accoutrements affixed to her face and chin and Gaga rocks the menswear look, clad in a Yves Saint Laurent blazer and Chanel trousers, which should could have borrowed from her alter ego Jo Calderone.
Gaga’s sporting a fancy Philip Treacy hat on the cover, too.
To counteract the masculine nature of her attire, there is a shot of a topless Gaga, showing off her lady lumps in the spread. It’s done tastefully — albeit our censorship alterations — as part of this high-fashion editorial.
Her hair is also au naturel and there are signs of severe split ends, thanks to all her wigs and extensions. But given the styling of the shots and Gaga’s willingness to bare all, it looks artistic and fashion-forward, as opposed to garish. She’s truly willing to expose everything, from a breast to her follicular roots.
The shots were done by Inez and Vinoodh, who shot her ‘You & I’ Haus of U fashion videos last summer. Three videos were released, but Gaga told us there were five total. As far as we can tell, the final two are not yet issued.
Have a look at the photos from the spread.

Lady Gaga Set For A Slow Year According To Psychic

Lady Gaga is set for a slow year according to a New York based psychic, Jesse Bravo.
Bravo gazed into his crystal ball and told MTV, "Lady Gaga for 2012, it's going to be sort of a slower year for her because she has her tour, which means she's not putting out a lot of new material."
This is despite Gaga recently hinting at new material for later this year.
The mystic does have high hopes for her tour though adding, "But she's also building up this new momentum for running her base for this tour. This tour is going to be really good for her."
Bravo also believes we're set for more outrageous outfits from the fashion icon, claiming he's had visions of two potential items.
"I don't know which one is going to come first. But I will believe the one that I saw is this outfit, and I can't really describe it, but it's going to have lights embedded in it," he said.
He added, "So it's going to be pretty bizarre. And then I saw another outfit and it's like a body outfit, one that you spray-paint on, and I don't know if it's a stars-and-stripes theme, but I saw that there were stars and stripes in the right areas."
He also predicted children in the 'Poker Face' singer's future saying, "And I know that work is on her mind, but I know that [her spirit guide] Liberace is telling me about a child. And I know that in the back of her mind, she wants one. I think with her, it's about scheduling ... and I would say we're looking somewhere at 2014-2015. That's going to be her time."

Lady GaGa Announces Plans To Release New LP In 2012

The Poker Face star has also confirmed she will tour...

15:28, Thursday, 5 January 2012
Lady GaGa has revealed plans to release herthird solo album this year.
The Marry The Night singer, who has enjoyed huge success with her sophomore LPBorn This Way, has confirmed her Little Monsters can expect a fresh collection of GaGa tunes very soon, as well as another epic tour.
Speaking to The Insider about her plans for 2012, Lady G claimed: "I just want to keep going. I'm not as goal obsessed as I am process obsessed. I just want to keep writing music.
"I'm looking forward to putting out another album and going on tour. I feel very blessed to be an artist who gets to make a living doing from what I love."
GaGa, who is currently dating her You And I video co-star Taylor Kinney, was also asked whether she hopes to have children one day, to which she replied: "Someday - long, long day from now. My next baby will be my new record."

Lady Gaga's 2012 Outfits (Photos)

Looks like we can all expect just as much fashion risk taking from Lady Gaga in 2012 as we did in 2011!

Mother Monster rang in the new year in New York City dressed in a variety of her usual over-the-top ensembles. Gaga started off the night in a gold pantsuit with matching Louboutin heels before changing into a black, bedazzled unitard (complete with major shoulder decorations and a Batman style face mask) for her performance of "Marry the Night."

After taking the stage, Gaga slipped into a silver ensemble that included a silver gown, matching gloves, and a dazzling headpiece that looked as though it was covered in diamonds (we wouldn't put it past Gaga if it had been). But the pop diva wasn't done yet! After all of the public festivities were over she donned a winter white ensemble that included a short dress, bejeweled stockings, sky-high Louboutin pumps, and a fur cape for private party at her own New York City restaurant.

Phew! Lady Gaga sure makes your one fancy New Year's Eve dress look like fashion child's play, doesn't she? Check out all of Gaga's 2012 outfits below.
